DanceReel: The Skirt-Swirl Studio, Now Its Own Site
You know the clip: one dancer, one slow turn, and a floor-sweeping skirt that lifts into a fan wide enough to write a word on in gold. That is the Skirt Swirl format, and the studio built around it now has its own address — DanceReel, at aidancevideogenerator.online. Here is what you give it, what it gives back, and how it differs from the rap duet you make on this site.
An illustration of the format, drawn for this article — it is not a clip from either studio.
I. What DanceReel Is
It is a sister site: a separate domain, run by the same people who build this one, and it is a studio rather than a write-up. Pick a master move, optionally drop in a photo of the place behind her, optionally type the word you want across the opened skirt — one request renders the clip in the cloud. The turn and the camera come from the master you picked; you choose the length, the frame and the resolution.
The two sites split the two formats. This one, RapReel, makes the rap duet: two portraits, your own four bars, a lip-synced 9:16 clip. DanceReel makes the skirt-move clip, and it never asks for a face. The trend itself is still written up here, on our own Skirt Swirl page — the difference is that over there you can actually run the workbench.
II. The Shot Everyone Recognises
A dancer in an enormous traditional-style skirt takes one slow turn. The fabric lifts and spreads into a half-circle fan that takes over the frame, and written across it in gold is a single word — the name of a city, someone's name, a short wish. That reveal is the whole format, and it is why the clip stops a thumb mid-scroll.
Making it the old way meant a bespoke dress with metres of hem, a dancer who can actually spin without falling, and a location worth naming. The studio replaces all three: the scene, the costume and the movement arrive with the master take.
III. What You Actually Give It
1. A master move — the only required input
The studio lists the masters with the length of each take on its card. You are choosing a performance that has already been made, not describing one.
2. A place — optional
A photo of the background you want behind her: a gate tower, a street, a room. Skip it and she keeps the master's own set. The photo's long edge needs to be at least 256 px and under 5760 px, which a normal phone shot clears easily.
3. The word on the fabric — optional
Ten width units, which is five Chinese characters or ten letters — a hanzi counts double. Chinese characters, letters, numbers and spaces get through; nothing else does. Two to four characters is where the lettering stays legible while the cloth is moving. Skip it and nothing is lettered, which is the cleanest way to watch just the turn.
And what it never asks for: your face
The woman in the clip is drawn by the model, so no portrait upload is involved. The only upload is the background photo, and it has to be one you have the right to use — uploads are moderated, and photos containing real people, public figures or anyone under 18 are refused.
IV. What the Master Already Carries
A master is the take itself, already performed, and the clip is generated with that take as its reference. Four things stop drifting at random:
- The turn — how far she bends and when the hem comes up is set by the take, not re-invented per generation.
- The camera — the camera path is referenced from the take, so the reveal lands near the same beat instead of arriving wherever a fresh draw puts it.
- The length — the take sets the starting length (8 seconds on the live one), and you trim it to 4 or stretch it to 15 on the slider.
- The fabric — the scene asks for heavy cloth that carries momentum, so the hem behaves like a skirt rather than a flat cut-out swung around.
Worth checking before you plan around it: the studio lists four masters, and on the day this article was written one is live while three are marked Soon. If you had your heart set on a particular turn, look at the picker first.
V. What Lands in Your File
A vertical clip, sized for the feed it is meant for
9:16 by default, 768P or 2K, 4–15 seconds. One request renders the whole thing in a single pass — usually a few minutes in the cloud, so you can leave the tab and come back.
An AI label you cannot lose
Every clip carries a visible AI-generated label and an identifier inside the file, which is what TikTok, Instagram and YouTube policies and the EU AI Act ask for. Keep the label on when you post — cropping it out is the part that breaks those rules.
A price you see first
The studio's own pages state that the exact credit cost shows before you generate, that one request is billed once by length and resolution, and that a failed run never spends credits.
VI. How It Differs From the Duet You Make Here
This site: a rap duet
Two portraits of people whose photos you may use, one scene photo, and four bars of your own lyrics. The output has singing voices in it, lip-synced to your words, and the faces are the point of the clip.
DanceReel: a skirt-move clip
No face upload at all. A drawn dancer performs a master turn; what is personal to you is the place behind her and the word across the opened fabric. Nothing sings — the movement and the lettering are the payoff.
Both studios are credit-first and both mark their output as AI-generated, so the choice is really about which shot you want: a pair of faces trading bars, or one enormous skirt filling the frame with a word in gold.
VII. Tips & Things to Know
Best practices
- Keep the word short when the lettering matters — two to four characters reads clearly mid-spin; long text is where letters distort as the fabric moves.
- Pick a place photo with something readable behind where she would stand — an arch, a sign, a horizon — and no people in it, since a photo with faces in it is refused at moderation.
- Generate once at the shorter length before you commit to 15 seconds — you are buying the reveal, and the slider changes what it costs.
Limitations
- Only one master take is live today, so the picker is narrower than the list of cards suggests.
- Results vary run to run — the lettering in particular. Retry with a shorter word before blaming the photo.
- It is a separate storefront: the credit packs and prices on this site are not the ones listed over there, so read their own pages before you plan a batch.
One turn, one enormous skirt, one word in gold — the skirt-move studio is a click away.
